Born of the marriage of a tent revival evangelist and a carnival side show worker. Raised in a junkyard maze in the middle of nowhere. I learnt to draw and entertain myself for over three decades before finally escaping out into the world. I travel cross country with a haunted hand and a broken banjo making art as I go.
The crows cawing while the wind blows through the trees. The drone of an old world instrument. Thrift store furniture.
Mixed media describes my work and my life. When left to my own practice, I conjure detail and focus from loose sketches and murky pools of ink. Professionally I use digital media to provide illustrations. I’ve formed monsters and devils from wood, wire, and clay. Banjos and other noise making items have come from my hands. I have a need to make stuff out of whatever I can grab.
A few people over the years have posted art they’ve collected from me.
